Chamber Music Ensemble
For instrumentalists that haven’t played for a while, now is the perfect opportunity to dust off that violin under the bed.
Chamber Music Ensemble is a great opportunity to collaborate with other musicians deepening your experience in the five skills of chamber music (watching, listening, being sensitive, being flexible, and adapting), slow playing for tuning/ensemble work, and adopting feedback on the physical technique of playing.
Chamber Music Ensemble Values
COLLABORATION
Feel supported and encouraged to be met at your experience level but motivated to deepen your learning and be inspired by the Artistic Team and collaborative artists who push you along your journey.
CURIOSITY
Be curious to discover new styles and approaches in music through exploring different eras and cultures, balancing tradition and innovation in performance.
FAITH
Have faith in your ability to learn new skills and techniques, in the artistic process, and in your Director’s insight and experience to program engaging and appropriately challenging repertoire.
PERSPECTIVE
Embody the philosophy that we are richer when our community is more diverse, when what we enjoy is accessible to all, so let’s work together to improve inclusivity and greater opportunity.
TRUST
Rely on trust, care, and the kindness of others to further your musical skills even if the process can be frustrating requiring time, patience, and vulnerability. Embracing humor and a positive spirit helps this process.
